On March 2, 2024, Qatar Care’s Education and Training Department, in partnership with Mind Motion Doha, hosted an educational event focused on strategies to improve the well-being of healthcare professionals. Titled “Enhancing Well-being: Advanced Strategies for Debriefing and Support Among Healthcare Professionals,” the activity was led by Mr. Budz Castillo, a respected expert in healthcare stress management.
The event attracted leaders from the Qatar Care and Prime Care administration teams, aiming to explore and address the challenges faced by staff nurses dealing with stress and burnout. In his opening salvo, Mr. Castillo highlighted the demanding nature of healthcare work, where nurses and other medical professionals often face intense pressure. He emphasized the importance of advanced debriefing techniques and support systems to help manage stress. “Healthcare workers are the backbone of our medical systems,” he said. “Our focus today is on providing practical strategies to reduce stress and create a supportive environment for those on the frontlines.”

The event featured interactive workshops, and group discussions designed to promote an open dialogue about stress and well-being. Mr. Castillo’s expertise and engaging presentation style encouraged participants to share their experiences and challenges. He underscored the need for healthcare institutions to foster environments where employees feel valued and supported. The collaboration between Qatar Care Education and Training Department and Mind Motion Doha was seen as a significant step toward addressing healthcare workers’ mental and emotional needs.
Leaders from the Qatar Care and Prime Care teams expressed enthusiasm for the session’s content and its potential impact on workplace culture. “The partnership with Mind Motion Doha has provided us with a comprehensive approach to addressing stress among our staff,” said a representative from Qatar Care.
“We believe that a healthier workforce leads to better patient care, and today’s session gave us valuable insights to make that a reality.” Research shows that stress and burnout among healthcare professionals can lead to reduced patient satisfaction, increased errors, and higher staff turnover. By addressing these issues, events like this play a crucial role in creating resilient healthcare systems.
Overall, “Enhancing Well-being: Advanced Strategies for Debriefing and Support Among Healthcare Professionals” was well-received, offering attendees practical tools to take back to their organizations. As healthcare continues to face unprecedented challenges, the event highlighted the importance of supporting those who support us.
