Kidney Health for All: Preparing for the Unexpected, Supporting the Vulnerable!

On April 1, 2023, Qatar Care sponsored webinar titled, “Kidney Health for All: Preparing for the Unexpected, Supporting the Vulnerable!
The purpose of this educational activity was to increase participants’ knowledge on pathophysiology, risk factors, clinical manifestations, medical management, prevention, and nursing strategies at home about the disease. Additionally, this is also a part of the social responsibility of the institution as a medical and nursing company to encourage a healthy lifestyle as a means of preventing CKD. The virtual colloquium was attended by a total of 110 allied health professionals from QatarCare and PrimeCare.
The activity was graced by two highly qualified speaker who is experts in their own fields namely.
1. Joezerk Jhon P. Biel, RN MAN CNN- A certified nephrology nurse and currently the head nurse of a Dialysis Unit in a Tertiary-ISO Accredited Hospital in the Philippines and
He presented and discussed the present Dialysis and its importance to kidney disease management and explore nursing care strategies for patients on home-care set-up. The entire focus of the educational activity was on the prevention and ways to slow the progression of the medical condition. The webinar was moderated by the Educator from Prime Care, Ms. Bony Mammachen, RGN. Together with the entire SPC team headed by its Chairman, Abdulkarim O. Agga MAN, and SPC Technical Coordinator, Jonathan Medalla, RGN, Qatar Care is way ahead on its vision in providing educational programs to its strategic partners. The webinar was indeed a success as well with the support of Qatar Care’s CEO, Abdulrahman Almajed; Executive Director, Saleh Salem Al Eida; General Manager, Mary Rose Uy, RGN; and, Assistant General Manager, Rowena Dimpaso, RGN.
