On June 3 and 4, 2023, Qatar Care and Prime Care The education department conducted CPR and first aid training for drivers. The program is titled “Be a hero, save lives”. The session was from 12.30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Drivers are usually the first responders. Wherever accidents happen on the road, drivers are the ones who come into contact with the casualties. In the case of road accidents, getting that initial response becomes a crucial factor in determining whether the casualty lives or not.
The First Aid for Drivers course is designed to give you the theoretical knowledge needed to learn vital skills to be able to assist with road-related medical injuries. This course is an excellent first aid training package for people to gain invaluable knowledge as to how to help an adult, baby, or child involved in a road traffic accident. The course covers topics such as This session included basic assessment, CPR mechanics, adult choking interventions, bleeding interventions, and fracture first aid. The training was provided through lectures, presentations, and return demonstrations. Programme inaugurated by Ms Michelle Lagahid Operation Manager; Presenters were Ms. Bony Mammachen, RGN MBA Educator at Prime Care, and Riza Mae, RGN from the Quality Department. This course is designed to provide professional drivers with the skills and confidence to administer first aid in emergency situations while on the road.
The purpose of this activity is to get more skilled at quickly responding to medical emergencies in various contexts.
